2024 Annual Report

Greenville County’s natural and historic resources are worth protecting—and thanks to the work of the Greenville County Historic and Natural Resources Trust, Greenville County is making real progress.

In 2024, the Trust awarded funding to six impactful projects, bringing our total investment to over $4 million in just four years. With every dollar from the Trust leveraging additional outside funding, our return on investment continues to grow—ensuring that Greenville County’s scenic landscapes, vital watersheds, and historic sites are preserved for generations to come.

In 2024, we funded projects to:

  • Protect Paris Mountain

  • Preserve Farmland

  • Expand public access along Highway 11

  • Protect our drinking water

This year’s report reflects on the Trust’s growing impact, including partnerships that expand public access, support conservation efforts, and protect the unique character of our county. From safeguarding farmland in northern Greenville to preserving historic landmarks, these projects make a lasting difference.
