Pipsissewa Passage
Paris Mountain State Park

This project was previously known as Project 031.

Pipsissewa Passage—named after the popular trail that loops around North Lake—is a 65-acre property of mature forest and a two-acre natural granite-walled pond. It significantly expands Paris Mountain State Park, prevents potential development from encroaching on the park's boundaries, and allows the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (SCPRT) to open a new side of the park to the public.

Visitors will have the opportunity to access this remarkable site from a new entrance off of State Park Road, and via a connector trail linking the property to the existing trail network.
